Tebrau City Jusco

For all who are bored with City Square in Johor Bahru, why not take a trip down to Jusco at Tebrau City? The shopping mall is one of the biggest in my opinion in the state of Johor, comparable to the ones in Kuala Lumpur and opens till 2300 hrs.
It is located just further down from Carrefour.
For folks like me with no cars, you can choose to go there via their public transport (Bus No. 20 which stops in front of the mall {prepare RM$2.00 per pax}, some more others {Bus no. 227 i think} which stop by the main road of which you need some decent climbing skills to scale barricades/drains to reach the building) or via their free shuttle service (only operates on Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
You will take these buses from the bus stop opposite City Square in the direction away from the Causeway.
I think the frequency can be quite bad so be patient.
For the shuttle service, be sure to catch them at these timings from that bus stop.
0910, 1105, 1345, 1650, 1930, 2145 hrs.
The bus is kinda small and is yellow in colour and carries the name "Triton", whatever that means.

For coming back to City Square, remember these timings.
1000, 1220, 1525, 1805, 2050, 2300 hrs.
The stop is exactly at where the above picture is taken, yes, far away from the mall, next to the taxi stand and with little shelter. Pray hard that it doesn't rain. Also, remember to rush to get a comfortable seat as the trip is around half an hour long and there is only one bus operating.

The number of stores in Tebrau City isn't a lot, so it should not take you more than 4 hours to shop.

If you have a chance to be there, try the food East Court at the top most floor. They serve nice chinese food at reasonable rates. Also worth a try is the green tea ice cream outside Jusco (RM$2.50 per cone).

Enjoy your trip!
